One accountable subcontractor for formwork, steel-fix and pouring.

FRP — formwork, reinforcement and pouring — packaged under one Sydney concrete subcontractor. No interface management between three subbies. One PO, one claim cycle, one supervisor accountable for the finished structure.

One accountable subcontractor for formwork, steel-fix and pouring.

Why FRP as one package

The three trades — formwork carpenters, steel-fixers and concrete placing crews — used to sit with three subcontractors on most Sydney commercial sites. The result was an interface-management problem your PM inherited: if the form was out of plumb, was it the chippies' fault or the steel-fixers' fault for over-cogging the bars? If the slab came up uneven, was it placement or formwork deflection?

We sit those three crews under one subcontract. The finished structure is on us. Pour days run cleaner because the crews talk every day and there's a single foreman who owns the program.

What's included

  • Formwork. Conventional studded formwork, table forms for suspended floors, jump-form for cores. AS 3610 finish class as specified.
  • Reinforcement. Fix to engineer's drawings, bar schedules built and supplied, full traceability of reo to mill cert if required.
  • Pouring & finishing. Placement, vibration, screed, trowel finish to spec. Curing regime as required by the spec or the engineer.
  • QA records. Pour logs, slump tests, cube strengths, curing records, AS 3600 compliance documentation.

How we run it

You award us the package. We resource it, schedule it against your master program, and run it as one continuous trade. Your PM gets one weekly meeting with one supervisor. If something goes wrong, you're calling one phone number.

Standards we work to

  • AS 3600 — Concrete structures
  • AS 3610 — Formwork for concrete (Class 1–5 finish)
  • AS/NZS 4671 — Steel reinforcing materials

Common questions

Can we just take the placement crew, not the full FRP?

Yes — see our Place & Finish service. But most commercial clients prefer the full package because of the interface benefit.

What's your typical FRP rate?

Rates depend on slab type, finish class, reinforcement density and access. We price per m² of structural concrete for typical apartment programs, or detailed BoQ for complex commercial.

Do you supply the steel and formply or do we?

We can supply both. Most clients prefer we supply because we coordinate the deliveries with our pour program — but we're happy to take client-supplied material if your existing arrangements are sharper.
