Fifteen years on the trowel

Ocon Concrete Group was founded in 2019 by Anthony Oiteirinho — a Sydney concreter with fifteen years on the tools, who saw that the gap between bargain-basement residential concreters and tier-1 mega-subbies was where most builders actually needed something better. That gap is what Ocon was built to fill.

What we believe

Concrete is structural. It doesn’t get a second chance once it’s poured. The difference between a concreter who treats the pour as the most important moment of the project and one who treats it as “just another job” shows up in the finished result every time. We’re firmly in the first camp.

The right finish comes from the right preparation. The right preparation comes from the right experience — earned one pour at a time, remembering what went wrong each time and not making the same mistake twice.

How we work

Most projects start with a phone call to Anthony. For commercial work, that becomes a site visit and a written quote within a week. For residential work, the same — but with more of an emphasis on understanding what you want the finished surface to look like, because that drives a lot of the choices upstream.

Our crew is built on long-tenure relationships. The same core team runs our pours job after job, and that continuity shows up in finish quality and program reliability.

The work we love

Commercial: apartment developments and suspended slabs that require careful program management and high-quality placement. Residential: the architectural projects — pool surrounds, floating stairs, polished floors — where the concrete is the finish. Both share the same underlying discipline.

Where we work from

Based in Kingsgrove. We work right across Sydney metro for commercial — the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, Hills District, Northern Beaches, Sutherland Shire and out to Penrith and Castle Hill. Residential work concentrates closer to home for fast site visits and reliable response.
